Exam rules
Not confirmed by the board: question count, time limit, pass mark; this practice exam uses 50 questions, 2 h, 70% to pass. Check your candidate bulletin.
Open book: bring the references your board allows (usually your state's edition of the NASCLA Contractor's Guide); check your candidate bulletin.
Questions cover federal law and general construction-business practice, the national core of the NASCLA-guide business & law exams. Ohio law (licensing thresholds, lien deadlines, workers' compensation, state taxes) is covered only in general terms; study your state's edition of the guide for it.
Ohio's business & law exam is for state trade contractor licenses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydronics, refrigeration); general contractors are licensed locally.
Whether the real test is offered in Spanish is not confirmed.
Unofficial practice; not affiliated with the licensing board or the test vendor.
