SkillPermit Pro — Terms of Use

Effective date: October 27, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Trovyn Tech LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). They cover the SkillPermit Pro app for iOS and Android and the website at skillpermitpro.com (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Unofficial practice material

SkillPermit Pro is an independent study aid. It is not an official test, handbook or government service.
•
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any state or local licensing board or agency (including the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB)), any testing provider (including PSI, Prometric and Pearson VUE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Code Council (ICC), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), any EPA-approved Section 608 certifying organization (such as ESCO Institute), NASCLA, or any other government agency, code body or exam provider.
•
Our questions are written to help you study. They are not the actual questions on any official exam.
•
SkillPermit Pro does not issue any license or certification. For example, EPA Section 608 certification can only be earned by passing a test given by an EPA-approved certifying organization.
•
Codes, code editions (such as which edition of the National Electrical Code® your area has adopted), local amendments, exam content and licensing requirements change and differ by state and city. The official code books, your licensing board and your exam provider's candidate information are the only authoritative sources. Always check them.
•
The Service is a study aid, not professional, legal or engineering advice. It does not replace training, apprenticeship, supervised work experience or any requirement set by your licensing authority.
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and construction work can be dangerous. Never rely on practice questions to do real work. Follow the law, the applicable codes, manufacturer instructions and safe work practices, and work under proper licensing and supervision.

3. No guarantee of passing

We work hard to make good practice material, but we do not guarantee that you will pass any license, certification or other exam, or receive any license or certification.

4. Mistakes in the content

The content may contain errors or be out of date. If you spot one, please use Report a mistake in the app or email support@skillpermitpro.com. We review every report and fix confirmed errors as quickly as we can.

5. Accounts

You can use the Service without an account. If you create one (by email one-time code, Google or Apple), you are responsible for keeping access to that email or sign-in account secure and for activity under your account. Please give us accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete account.

6. Purchases and refunds

•
Some content requires a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases are not subscriptions and do not renew.
•
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.
•
The website does not sell content directly. If you bought in the app and sign in to the same account on the website, your purchase is unlocked there too.
•
You can restore purchases on a new device using Restore purchases with the same Apple or Google account.
•
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund processes:
- Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. - Google Play: request a refund through your Google Play order history, or contact us.
•
We are happy to help. If something went wrong with a purchase, email support@skillpermitpro.com and we will support your refund request wherever the store allows it.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other rights you have under applicable law.

7. Your license to use the Service

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial study, on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
The Service and all its content, including questions, explanations, illustrations, design and software, belong to Trovyn Tech LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
•
copy, scrape, download in bulk, resell, publish or share our questions or other content;
•
use the Service for any commercial purpose, such as running a school or course, without our written permission;
•

•
use bots or automated tools to access the Service;
•

•
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always up to date.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:
•
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity or profits, arising from your use of the Service, including from failing a test or relying on any content.
•
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Some places do not allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trovyn Tech LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

14. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or stop offering the Service. Sections 3, 4, 7 (ownership), 9, 11, 12, 13 and 16 continue after these Terms end.

15. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes to these Terms, we will let you know in the app or on the website before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right, we have not waived it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If there is any difference between this English version and a translation, the English version controls.
