This exam tests the 2020 NEC. Questions are written to the 2023 NEC, so a few answers may differ; check your code book.

Ignore code exceptions and optional methods unless a question tells you to use them.

Conductors are copper unless the question says otherwise.

The real test is one 70-item portion (49 correct to pass); about 10 items are on the Virginia tradesman regulations, which this practice includes from the Virginia law pack. Bring the DPOR regulations booklet as an open-book reference.
